YES THIS IS HAPPENING
On May 15, Sprinkles, the cupcakery founded and run by Food Network, will open at Disney Springs and will, in sweet, sweet victory for this city, bring a cupcake ATM to the fictitious shores of Lake Buena Vista.
This will be the 20th location for Sprinkles (there’s one in Tampa already with a cupcake ATM if you’ve braved the traffic to check it out), and the bakery joins a host of new openings for food and drink with more to come (including a sausage joint called B.B. Wolf’s and Aristo-Crepes — so clever).
Sprinkles will take the sweet spot left vacant by the closing of the Babycakes cupcakery a while back, and will also offer an array of seasonal, vegan, gluten-free and sugar-free cupcake, cookie and ice cream selections. Until then, we’re already counting the days until we don’t even have to say a word and our cupcake of choice appears instantly. This is what living life feels like.
