Great news!

We donate a proportion of our profits to several charities each year. We are very picky about which charities we choose to support at Vacay & Co and this is one of the great ones, along with others that we support: Charity Water & Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.

This is one of the many charities that we support at Vacay & Co Real Estate and they have some great news to share! Thanks to all our clients from past and present who have used our services.

Take a look at this amazing news!

Michelle, For months, we have been talking about urgent situation: we have been supporting a home for American children rescued from sex trafficking in California, but we found out in January that they were being forced out of their home. This came after YEARS of being harassed and persecuted by State officials, just because our friends incorporate their FAITH in the LIVING GOD in the restoration of these children’s broken lives. When we heard about their predicament, they had less than 60 days left to find a new place to live (in a new state!!!), buy it, get it ready, and move the kids. Well, in early March, we found a piece of land in the Great State of Texas, where state officials are supportive of faith-based recovery services for kids. We put in an offer, it was accepted, and we went to work.   (If you haven’t kept up with all the steps in this process. Oh! And then Coronavirus locked everyone down in the middle of all this, as if we needed another obstacle. Insane. Amazing King’s Ransom ADVOCATES like Stuart Lynn (and his awesome wife, Lisa) stepped in and brought world-class expertise we needed, including land development, septic engineering, steel building engineering, and more. So many people rallied to help build and furnish the new homes, spread gravel, run electric, and so much more. It has been a Herculean effort, but it’s almost done. Kevin and Diane Meade brought their expertise as builders (and took a ton of great photos!!), Mark Holden and his family spent their weekends building, cleaning, and getting the place ready. Watch these 3 short video updates from the site here: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3  All three parts are exciting to watch. And we can’t forget the amazing organizers and fundraisers, like Mary Fujisaki, who have used their massive influence to bring awareness to this project. NOW, THE BEST PART!! The kids are arriving at their new home this weekend!!! After months of being trapped in the old place because of the coronavirus, they are finally FREE! We couldn’t be more excited! There’s a large group of people gathering to receive them on Sunday evening. We’ll post pictures and videos, because we know that not everyone can be there. You need to understand that YOU made this happen. YOU brought us to this point. Your generosity made this possible. This is ALL THE MORE EXCITING because most of the work is already paid for and done, including the heating/air conditioning, which was pretty expensive There is still a little bit of work left to be done (like finishing up the kitchen and insulation, which amounts to about $6,000), but we believe the rest of our fundraising goal of will come in over the next few days and weeks. Wouldn’t it be awesome if the rest of the funds came in just as the kids were arriving??? I know it’s a big dream, but it’s fun to think about…
